The Gosport Community assocation is possibly better known as Thorngate Halls and is situated in Bury Road, Gosport, Hants.

They welcome everybody to join in their many activities, be it Club, Group, Education or Social. There is always something interesting and challenging to do, so why not go along and pursue a wide range of activities.

The Gosport Silver Band was formed in 1968 as the brainchild of Alderman John Fairhall, a former Mayor of Gosport.

The Battered Suitcase Theatre Company is perhaps best known for their stagings of original Doctor Who adventures. Battered Suitcase have more strings to their bow than, that, though, with productions including a revisionary Sherlock Holmes, a new adaptation of the Vincent Price classic Theatre of Blood and Tales from the Jungle Book. They also make short films and distribute them for free online!

At Chichester, the audience and artists are all in the same room; there is no feeling of 'them and us', we share the space and share the dramatic journey. It is a special gift of these spaces that they offer a sense of one community, and particularly appropriate to the community inspiration which built them.

It means that the actors can't hide or fake - the acting has to be truthful, open, brilliant. And the audience can't sit passively in the dark as they do in a cinema, or in some traditional theatres watching action in another room on stage. They should feel involved, excited, moved - part of one community with the artists.

Ashcroft Arts Centre is a Hampshire County Council Arts Centre in receipt of additional support from Fareham Borough Council. It is managed by the Arts Office, part of the Recreation and Heritage department.

In addition to a varied programme of professional theatre, music, comedy, film, dance and visual arts, there are many arts activities workshops available for all ages.

Formed in 1992, HumDrum AmDram consists of people from the Portsmouth region who were seeking an innovative, experimental theatre company in the local area.

HumDrum has three main aims: to bring under-performed works into the area; to present familiar works in a new or unusual manner and to develop the artisic skills of its members.

The SSA boasts a large membership of both acting and backstage talents, and cater for people of all ages, though for full membership you must be over 16 years.

The SSA offers the chance to see and, if you want to, perform in the plays of Shakespeare and other writers of merit; and it is also a great way to meet people and have fun.

Amy started her career at the age of six when she joined The Iris Price Stage School in Hampshire. There she learnt tap, modern and jazz and performed in variety shows throughout the South coast and abroad. The money raised from ticket sales was donated to various charities such as Cancer Research, Naomi House Hospice and The Magpie Appeal (RSCH). In the shows Amy performed various solo numbers such as 'Man Wanted', ' Cabaret', ' Dont rain on my parade and 'With one look'.

Amy is now taking bookings.
